It's a thoughtful way for kids to experience travel.
Through creative prompts and open-ended pages, kids are encouraged to notice the world around them, capture what matters, and create a record of the trip in their own way.

A companion booklet of creative prompts (“Sparks”)

HOW IT WORKS
Use the companion booklet to choose a Spark (an idea, prompt, or activity), and add it to the journal to inspire drawing, writing, or collecting pieces from the trip.
There’s no right way to do it, and no way to get it wrong.
Some entries will be messy. Some will be detailed. All of it becomes part of their story.

In 2023, my family was getting ready for a month-long trip to Italy. We knew this was going to be a special trip, and I wanted something to help my kids remember it.
Everything I found was either filled with repetitive pages (boring), or completely blank (too hard to get started). I was looking for something in between. Something that would encourage them to notice things, be creative, and make the journal their own.
So I made one.
What surprised me was that it became part of the trip itself. One of the prompts asked, "What was the first thing you noticed that was different about this place?" My daughter answered, "Church bells."
I never would have thought of that, and it gave me a little glimpse into how she was seeing the world around her.
I wanted other families to have little moments like that too.
That's how Sparks Travelogue began.
I hope years from now, you'll look back through its pages and remember not just where you went, but how your child saw the world.
